Kayak & Canoe Tour
Tropical Audubon Society (TAS) will lead guided kayak/canoe trips from Snowden's/Deering Pt (c-100 canal & 175th street). This event will allow residents to view the mangroves and learn about the native birds and other bay animals and plants of this South Florida ecosystem – appreciate Palmetto Bay from the Bay! Two novice trips are scheduled at noon and 2 p.m.; and a dusk/sunset trip will launch at 4 p.m. for experienced enthusiasts. TAS will add trips earlier in the day based upon demand. The distance of each tour will depend on group experience and weather conditions. Residents are encouraged to bring their own gear, water and snacks. Donations to TAS will support Biscayne Bay and coastal wetlands restoration.
